located not too far from st. peter's square in vatican city is this venue. you may just miss it if you're not looking for the simply stated 'gelateria' on the colorful awning above the entrance. a simple 2-scoop of gelato in a waffle cone will cost 4€ each. the gelato tastes unbelievably good during a hot summer afternoon, but not the best i've had in europe. for that fact, the gelateria does its duty in providing a cold treat on hot exhausting days of waiting in line to get into st. peter's basilica (like we did that day). there is also pizza sold by the kilo here, which we did not try. if you've had it, please review + let the rest of us yelp-ers know.
